I found sooo many lovely patterns on this past weekend's thrift trips. There wasn't a single thing I bought that didn't have an obnoxious, bright, gorgeous pattern on it. I scored two dresses and a skirt at goodwill, and another dress, two more skirts, and a belt (that failed to take pictures of) at a hole-in-the-wall thrift store in town. I also found two mugs at a thrift store who's proceeds go to an animal rescue sanctuary called Brother Wolf. I wish I could have found more to buy from there, but they don't carry many clothing items, mainly just housewares.
(The one on the left is probably my favorite!)
(This one has a 90s feel to it I think)
Every once in a while you come across an article of clothing that not only fits like a glove, but looks gorgeous on you and compliments you in all the right places. This dress is that perfect piece for me. It feels like it was made for me! I can't wait to wear it everyday of my life this summer!
I love every little detail about it. The pattern is perfect, the band around the waist is lovely, I love the straps and how the dress shows skin but its still very lady like. I think I'm in love.
And still going along with the pattern theme (also what seems to be a flowery pattern theme) here are the two mugs I got to add to my small collection.
(The pink on the inside is just precious!!)
I'm pretty sure that the second one is handmade. Its uneven in thickness, the painting looks hand done, and there's one last clue that makes me believe it wasn't massed produced:
Nothing on the bottom!! The possibility that it was handmade makes me love it that much more.
Also, the thrift store benefiting Brother Wolf was full of little critters in it! I quickly made friends with this adorable kitty who was so friendly and oh so sweet!
What a cutie pie!! That's definitely my kind of store.
Great thrift finds! I'm loving that green floral dress! So cute!!
